Scott Foster

Scott is a Canadian and English lawyer and a Canadian trademark agent. Scott was recently named “Lawyer of the Year for Intellectual Property Law in Vancouver” by Best Lawyers in Canada.

Scott’s practice focuses on contentious IP in the fields of patents, trademarks, trade secrets/confidential information, copyright, industrial designs, and domain name disputes. Scott has represented clients in arbitrations and mediations of IP disputes.

Prior to practicing in Canada, Scott worked at a London IP litigation boutique where he worked on several trials and appeals for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

A particular focus of Scott’s practice in Canada is interlocutory relief, including search and seizure orders and freezing injunctions.

Scott has also represented clients on cross-border disputes, including multi-jurisdictional enforcement programs, applications in respect of Letters of Request/Letters Rogatory, and challenges to jurisdiction.
