AJ Macaulay joined Seastone IP in June 2024, after summering in our office in 2023, as an articling student.
Prior to AJ joining Seastone, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Biomechanics) at the University of Calgary, followed by a Master of Science in Biomechanics at the same university. AJ has developed a sound background in health and engineering matters, and is alive to the intricate relationship between science and law.
AJ assisted in guiding the creation of Canada’s first wearable technology training program, learning from leaders within Alberta’s expanding health technology sector. This experience sparked his interest in companies large and small who are contributing to the Canadian innovation ecosystem.
AJ’s has a passion and appreciation for intellectual property law and his work within Alberta’s health technology and innovation sector compliments his formal training.
