Scott Foster is a Canadian and English lawyer and a Canadian trademark agent.

Scott was recently named “Lawyer of the Year for Intellectual Property Law in Vancouver” by Best Lawyers in Canada.

Scott’s practice focuses on contentious IP in the fields of patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright, industrial designs, and domain name disputes. He has appeared before the British Columbia Supreme Court, British Columbia Court of Appeal, Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, and before the Trademarks Opposition Board and Patent Appeal Board.

A particular focus of Scott’s practice in Canada is interlocutory relief, including search and seizure orders and freezing injunctions. Scott has also represented clients on cross-border disputes, including multi-jurisdictional enforcement programs, applications in respect of Letters of Request/Letters Rogatory, and challenges to jurisdiction.
